Donation Process

Once the application is received, we will work directly with the recipient to set up a series of appointments which begin with the initial consultation. After the consultation, and we understand what the recipient wants for their wig, we process the order and begin working on any customization that may be needed.

There are usually 1-2 more appointments for any additional adjustments and final fittings before we complete the process. This process can take a couple weeks from start to finish, so our hopes are to receive Recipient Applications as soon after diagnosis as possible to begin working with them prior to starting any treatments that will cause hair loss. 

In the event AngelHair experiences a high recipient need and low budgetary funds to work with, we have a Recipient Sponsor program where family and friends can donate directly to the cost of a loved one’s wig.

Wig Donation Program

We also have a wig donation program where we receive gently used wigs that are sanitized, restyled and fit for recipients in the event funds and sponsors are unavailable. Styles and selections of the gently used donation wigs are limited to what we have in stock at the time of the request.
